Authentic Italian Lasagna

An authentic Italian lasagna recipe straight from my wife's Italian family in Sardegna.

Real, authentic, Italian lasagna recipe straight from Italy

My Mother-in-law is from Sardegna, Italy. After graduating from college we were able to visit my wife's Italian family and the food was out of this world! I've never had so much pizza and gelato and was never so glad to it. All food is on another level there and I'm not sure why.

During dinner meals there are several courses, if I remember correctly there are near five courses. I did not know this when first eating with her family and went heavy on the pasta because it was so stinking good! It ended up only being the third course and with my wife's Grandma insisting I eat more, and more, and more. I obliged because I thought the meal was wrapping up with the pasta being the main dish. This is not the case, and I was only half way through the meal but completely filled. I pushed through though and made it happen.

Real, authentic, Italian lasagna recipe straight from Italy

One of the dishes from my wife's Italian family that is tried and true and well known is their lasagna. It is my Mother-in-law's recipe and without question is the best lasagna I've ever had. Put it to the test and try it out yourself!
